Emily Bosasker [email protected] Comment Rebecca Coleman has been a large influence on my education in the Costume Department of the University of Montana. I can honestly say that her support is one of the reasons I had the confidence to pursue costuming. She is a great and supportive teacher, and has the knowledge and experience to back it up. I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to learn from her, sometimes I wish I could pick her brain! Name Danielle Gaanderse-Rustwijk Comment Rebecca Louise Coleman needs to be acknowledged as a true testament of my pattern cutting, garment construction and fashion design successes. Besides her ability to passionately teach her fields of expertise, she inspired me to strive for the ‘moon’. To me she will always be a truly inspirational and gifted teacher who allows all her students to bloom. Thanks Rebecca for always being there, for your listening ear and for your invaluable garment construction solving skills! carol ann shabaz white [email protected] Comment I met Becca when I worked at Dollywood in the Costume Department in late 90's early 2000. I believe at that time she was still working at Stagedoor Manor. Konnie Kittrell who was the costume designer for Dollywood had Becca design a patchwork jacket. I watched with amazement as she created this jacket without a pattern. Even at that time as well as when I worked under her as a finisher for The Miracle Theater she was tireless and dedicated to the point of exhaustion yet did not stop. Her work ethics and organizational skills have always been top notch. When I worked part time at The Miracle in the Costume Department she exhibited her skills as a teacher leaving me with skills I use to this day. Her professionalism and dedication to do her best has helped me succeed as a backup for the local Wardrobe Union here in Knoxville, Tennessee where I have worked in Wardrobe and as a dresser for shows such as, Cats, The Producers, Movin Out, Legally Blonde, and The Color Purple. Becca's creativity and seamstress abilities are beyond excellent. I have not met any one that can top her within the world of theater. Her supervisory abilities as well as personality make her an asset to any organization or show. I do believe she can do anything with her great wealth of experience. Name Sheila Plummer [email protected] Comment It was always a pleasure to work with Rebecca at Stagedoor Manor. She was costumer on several of the shows for which I was music director in the many years we worked together. Her costumes were always gorgeous and her research thorough. Additionally, she was always a friend and someone we relied on personally. Sheila Plummer Vocal Instructor Coach/Accompanist Music Director New York, NY Name Joshua Bond [email protected] Comment Being a costume designer must be like being a shepherd. The only difference is that you have to make sure your sheep always look "Fabulous"!!! I worked with Becca at the Miracle Theater in 2006. It was a new theater with all sorts of challenges. It was a large cast with lots of costumes and costume changes. There was always lots of stress on the costumes because of all of the fighting and dancing. Becca made sure that everyone always had their costume, and that it was always looking "Fabulous". Becca was not only professional, but she always had a kind word or smile if that's what you needed. It was a pleasure to work with her then, and it would be a pleasure to work with her now. Joshua Bond Name Todd Craft Comment Todd craft Lighting Designer at True Grip & Lighting I have had the pleasure of working with Rebecca on two separate occassions. And she is a very hard worker. Sometimes she works to hard like I do. Fun to be around and great to talk to. Great wardrobe supervisor. |
